An AQUA-BASE watermaker will sail the 2026 Route du Rhum

This week, at a customer's request, we went directly on board a sailboat moored in the port to perform an operation on one of the watermakers offered by our partner SEIMI.

This is no ordinary boat: the Alegria, a 1986 Swan 59, completely renovated after four years of work. A sailboat of nearly 18 meters that is enjoying a second youth.

This is no ordinary watermaker: on board, it is an AQUA-BASE ESW, now known as the FIJI. A technology particularly suited for offshore sailing: energy recovery, low power consumption, quiet operation, and ease of use. Enough to produce fresh water at sea while preserving the boat's energy resources.

This is no ordinary skipper: Jean Le Cam! He will start the Route du Rhum 2026 on Sunday, November 1, in the Vintage Mono category with this Alegria equipped with its watermaker.

And this is no ordinary technician either: Yoann, a member of our team, went on board to prepare the watermaker for this transatlantic race.
